1st time baby wearing Vera🥹 I never did it this early with Remy or with a soft wrap because my anxiety with him was much worse & I was too afraid to. This time around I feel so much more confident & barely anxious🤞🏼🫶🏻 Baby wearing was the top thing I missed when Remy started walking… we did so much with him in the carrier, it was so fun to have him close & hands free. Our long walks, dancing, cooking, shopping, candle prepping… anything I wanted to do. So excited to start baby wearing Vera now🤩 #babywearing

my heart might explode of joy🫶🏻✨ my main worry & heart ache while pregnant was that having Vera would affect my relationship with Remy, cried so much over it… what a relief to see Remy as in love with her as I am. He wants & expects me to carry her all the time & wants to be close & cuddle us both🤍 When I get him in the morning the first thing he says is “where is Vera? 1st solo walk/bike as a mama of 2🥹 Feeling so much better this morning 💪🏼 🙏🏼 Day 6 post c-section… leg & belly swelling going down… BF, pumping, combo formula feeding going smoother… got a littler more sleep than the normal 2ish hrs since birth 🥱 I’ve stayed active to move healing along , I personally feel the best when moving about the house, sitting or laying makes my scar feel more painful ❤️‍🩹 This postpartum has been so much better, less stressing & crying over my body🥴 & just mostly feeling extremely grateful for my body, mindset, husband, & babies🫶🏻 shout out to all the mamas we are strong as fuck🤗

Volcano Eruption 🌋 is always a hit with the littles🤩 We’ve been discussing the Solar System, Earth, & now Volcanoes! Remy’s been fascinated by Volcanoes for awhile because many children’s books discuss them… so I thought this would be the perfect first science experiment for him. We learned that mixing ingredients can cause a reaction, we used our hands to make the volcano & he was amazed by the hot lava eruption. This is so fun & simple: all you need is white dish soap, vinegar, baking soda, red food coloring, a small container for the inside of the volcano & some type of outside to resemble the rock volcano, we used brown play doh! Put about 2 pumps of dish soap, 2tbsp baking soda, & 3-4 drops of food coloring in the container. Build the volcano structure around it leaving the crater opening at the top… when you’re ready pour in about 1/2 cup vinegar! He wanted to do it a couple of times so I would just pour everything out & add the ingredients again. Afterwards, he wanted to mush & play with the wet play doh which was a perfect messy sensory play to end the lesson🫶🏻 I’ll link what we used & some great books for the lesson in my LTK🤍 #toddlerlearning #toddleractivities #mamaandson #toddlerscience #homeschoolpreschool #homeschoolactivities #scienceforkids

What a simple #prek2 lesson can look like at home🤍 we sit in our “escuelita” a toddler table in the corner of our kitchen, it’s setup like a classroom with things we are working on & his artwork posted on the windows, lots of books, & different toddler appropriate games, puzzles, coloring etc. Most of the activities we do work on multiple skills at a time. We go with the flow, mostly based on his interest & curiosity. Some days it’s over an hour & others it’s 20min… The goal is some focused energy on practicing a variety of skills each week. So I decided to expand on his new aircraft curiosity… I grabbed two new books: Yellow Copter & Planes & Other Flying Machines to read with him before we played to expand his vocabulary. Next, I used a bin, shaving cream (clouds), & some aircraft toys ( I got these for a few $’s on Amazon) At first he was apprehensive about the shaving cream texture but soon he was all about it🤍 that’s the goal! Getting out of his comfort zone while having fun. Reading, Science, & Fine Motor Skills Lesson Idea for toddlers+ You can use this for MANY learning themes. 1-3 books on the topic, a bin, some kinetic sand, a pincer, & manipulatives to match your topic🤍 I chose worms to extend our previous lesson on plants… Read the book(s) with your child, discuss the pictures, read, ask questions… don’t feel like you need to read every word on the page, especially when they are toddlers & have a shorter attention span. Most of the time I go with the flow & let him guide me through what catches his attention. This helps keep him engaged. After the book, we used a simple sensory bin ( I’ll be reusing this bin for many other lessons I have planned) His task was to use the pincer to excavate the worms from the dirt (kinetic sand) & place them into the bowl.
